Kreayshawn looks like Amy Winehouse & Lady Gaga's baby.

Gucci Gucci, Louie Louie, Fendi Fendi, Prada...serves as the hook for Kreayshawn's unexpected summer jam "Gucci Gucci." 

The East Oakland native broke into the music industry in 2010, but didn't start to generate buzz until releasing a video for her track "Bumpin Bumpin" and launching a few PR stunts.  

In May, Kreayshawn was unapologetic about using the N-word on both Twitter and in her raps and she then proceeded to take personal shots at rapper Rick Ross.  Her behavior gave her the notoriety she was looking for, and then she got one of the biggest breakthroughs of her career this July when Lil' Wayne gave his stamp-of-approval on "Gucci Gucci" by doing a cover on his Sorry for the Wait mixtape.

Earlier this month, Kreayshawn got a chance to prove her skills by freestyling on Philly's Power 99 Cosmic Kev Show: 

...and she was recently nominated as Best New Artist for the 2011 MTV VMAs.

Although her rap skills are up for debate, there is no doubt that Kreayshawn has struck gold with "Gucci Gucci." But if you ask me, Kreayshawn and "Gucci Gucci" are destined for the same fate as M.I.A. and "Swagger Like Us."  

SOLANGE KNOWLES EXPLAINS WHY COPS PULLED A WEAPON ON HER

Solange Knowles was minding her business and enjoying Miami this weekend when things took a frightening turn. Prior to heading into a night club in Miami Beach Solo tweeted, "A police officer just pulled a weapon on me.... I have done NOTHING illegal, against the law, or anything of the sort." After much speculation about what could have triggered such a violent reaction from the cops, the singer explains the entire ordeal with E! News. 

"Never once during the incident did I even raise my voice," Knowles tells E!. "I feel very strongly about standing up for myself when something is wrong, and am very disappointed in the way that the Miami [Beach] Police Department has handled this case." 

Given the "sequence of false statements" made by police in the matter, "it is necessary to shed some clarity and tell her side of the story," Knowles' rep tells E! News. She says that Knowles and two friends went to a club, where she somehow obtained a large balloon that they planned to give to a pal's kid the next day. They cabbed it to another night spot, where the bouncer informed them that they couldn't take the balloon inside.

Wade’s World provides support to community-based organizations that promote education, health and social skills for children in at-risk situations.

BEYONCE ANNOUNCES PREGNANCY ON VMA RED CARPET

 MTV's official Twitter page just tweeted out a photo of Beyonce on the 2011 VMA black carpet saying, "OMG Beyonce just made a huge announcement on the #vma carpet! #baby!!!!!"

There is no official confirmation that this is true, but congrats to Jay & B if it is. Beyonce's sister, Solange, is all smiles on Twitter.  If this was a rumor, Solange would have laid it to rest!

KELLY ROWLAND AT THE 2011 MTV VIDEO MUSIC AWARDS

Kelly Rowland rocked a hot little black (and gold) dress to the 28th Annual MTV Video Music Awards taking place at the Nokia Theater.  Her single "Motivation" was just certified platinum, and Miss Kelly is currently on tour with Chris Brown.

Singer/Songwriter Jessie J will have to take a seat for her big performance at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards.  Back in July, the singer was hospitallized for a ligament injury after falling off of a platform at Wembley Stadium while rehearsing for a concert. 

Thankfully, Jessie can singer her ass off (CLICK HERE IF YOU DON'T BELIEVE) so her immobility shouldn't have much of an impact on her performance.

The entrepreneurial spirit has been quieted in the past few years thanks to our dwindling economy. Americans are either reluctant to start their own companies or unable to raise the capitol needed for their start-up. This week, we feature tennis champ Venus Williams to kick off a new feature showcasing famous,young entrepreneurs.

Not only is she one of the best tennis players of all time with a total of seven grand slam titles, Venus Williams is the CEO of her own interior design firm V-Starr Interiors. V-Starr is a full-service commercial and residential design firm that has designed a set for the Tavis Smiley Show and worked on the 2012 NYC Olympic bid.

In 2007, Venus earned an Associate's Degree in Fashion Design and launched her fashion line, EleVen, in a deal with clothing chain Steve & Barry's. In fact, some of her infamous outfits have been EleVen designs.

On top of being CEO of two companies, Venus is partial owner of the Miami Dolphins! Her book, Come to Win, details how she translates her competitive spirit and athletic background into success off the court.

ZOE SALDANA TOASTS WITH HER SISTERS

Actress Zoe Saldana hosted a Flaunt Magazine even in Los Angeles over the weekend, and brought her cute sisters Cisely and Mariel along to help her celebrate.

Zoe is the middle child in case you were wondering. Her latest film, Colombiana, is in theaters August 26th. I'm so happy to see how her career has blossomed...she's come a long way since her big debut in Drumline.

TAKING SUBLIMINAL SHOTS AT YOUR EX, EH ARNOLD?

I recently had a jaw-dropping moment when a co-worker showed me the photo of Arnold Schwarzenegger wearing his infamous "Survived Maria" t-shirt. I thought, wow, The Governator's got balls to be wearing this tee after what he did to Maria Shriver.

The t-shirt was originally made for Arnold as a joke by Sriver's staff back in 2010, and we will never know if Arnold was taking a subliminal shot at his ex by rocking this tee so soon after his infidelity was exposed. 

Still, his wardrobe choice made me think about how people often behave after break-ups.

KEYSHIA COLE TALKS FIXING GAP-TOOTHED SMILE

Keyshia Cole recently opened up on Twitter about her decision to close the gap that once defined her smile. The singer admitted, "Man I know folks upset about me loosing that gap. I had to make me happy, sorry."

Keyshia's been rocking her new smile for years now, so I'm surprised that she is still catching flack about her decision. Having minor cosmetic surgery after achieving a certain level of fame is common. Heck, even us regular folk have this sort of work done on a daily basis!

SONYAE ELISE TALKS PLATINUM HIT, NEW MUSIC, AND PERSONAL STYLE

Today, I got a chance to catch up with Platinum Hit winner, Sonyae Elise, to talk about her experience on the Bravo reality show, her new music, and her passion for fashion. Sonyae stood out from the other PH singer-songwriters with her clever lyrics and kept us laughing with her frequent "Yes b*tch!" exclamations.

Now that the show is over, Sonyae is focused on both launching her own career and cranking out hits for her peers.

QCU: You dominated the last four episodes of Platinum Hit. Two of those wins were with a team, and two wins were by yourself. When you're writing, do you prefer to collaborate with other people, or do you like to write alone?

SE: I don't mind either way. I learned to use Pro Tools a few years ago, so i'm pretty self-sufficient and i usually record myself alone...i did that for my whole mixtape. Collaborating is also super dope for me.

QCU: What is your favorite song from Platinum Hit?

SE: "Stranger to Love" and "My Religion" are a close tie. "Stranger to Love"...i love that song. The music and concept mix together into one beautiful, perfect little love song. I like "My Religion" because it's controversial, and it can go to many different meanings. It could be someone talking about their religion, literally, or the love that they have for somebody. It's a universal song.

QCU: Now that you are signed to RCA/Jive and have a publishing deal with The Writing Camp, are you primarily focused on developing yourself as an artist or pitching songs to other acts?

SE: Both. I'm sure that i can build them simultaneously. I might be in the mood to write a song that will have nothing to do with what we're putting together for my album, then i can pitch that to someone else.

TOP SONGS FROM BRAVO'S PLATINUM HIT

I finally got the chance to watch the finale of Bravo's Platinum Hit this weekend, and friend-in-my-head Sonyae Elise was named the winner!

Ironically, Sonyae was the only contestant who did not play an instrument, but her lyrics, concepts, and style carried her to victory. Sonyae just released her second mixtape, Lady Rebel Vol. 2., available on her website.

I didn't know if I was going to get into this show, but episode-to-episode the contestants created some amazing music and the Jes/Johnny/Nic drama didn't hurt anything! Below, you will find my top 3 songs from season 1! I hope some of your favorites made the list-

BIG BOI ARRESTED FOR POSSESSION OF ECSTASY & VIAGRA

The Associated Press reports that rapper Big Boi was arrested in Miami for possession of ecstasy and Viagra.

Big Boi was was booked around 1:30 p.m. on Sunday and charged with three counts of possession of a controlled substance and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia.

Personally, his arrest comes as a shocker. Big Boi is a veteran of hip-hop as half of the diamond-selling rap group, OutKast. Yet another set-back for the industry.

BAND DRAMA ALERT! Nashville rockers, Kings of Leon (known for their hit "Use Somebody"), had to cancel their entire US tour due to lead singer Caleb Followill's health problems. An official statement from the group explained, "We are so sorry to say Kings of Leon are canceling their entire US tour due to Caleb Followill suffering from vocal issues and exhaustion."

This explanation was all well-and-good until Caleb's brother and KOL guitarist, Jared Followill, took to Twitter saying, "There are problems in our band bigger than not drinking enough Gatorade." Read more on this story over at HUFFINGTON POST.

SAM RONSON ARRESTED FOR DUI AT 10:30 IN THE MORNING!

Lindsay Lohan's ex-girlfriend, DJ Sam Ronson, was arrested yesterday morning for driving under the influence just outside Baker, California at 10:30 in the morning!

The 33-year-old DJ was driving home from Vegas when she was pulled over for speeding.  She was arrested on the spot after barely getting through a field sobriety test and refusing a breathalyzer.

SMH. This whole time i thought Lindsay was the wild one. Its one thing to catch a DUI after a night out on the town, but this whole "it's 5:00 somewhere" mentality is even more ridiculous at this time of day.
