SOLANGE KNOWLES FEATURED ON "EQUAL DREAMS"

Friend-in-my-head, Solange Knowles, lands a hot feature over at Fashionista discussing her current fashion obsessions. More importantly, she's featured on a new track called "Equal Dreams" by former Chairlift member, Aaron Pfenning, who has a new band named REWARDS. 

Solange's vocals are a perfect fit for these indie jams. I'm dying a slow death waiting on her new album, but tracks like this make the wait easier. 

SHOP CONSIGNMENT FOR A LOOK THAT SETS YOU APART

A lot of people are surprised to learn that one of my favorite places to shop is the local consignment shop. Hailing from a small city, I was unable to find many stores that carried designer labels outside of the typical mall brands.

However, when i stared to check out the local Unclaimed Baggage Store, Salvation Army, and Goodwill, i couldn't believe that i was coming across brands like Lanvin, Christian Dior, and Yves Saint Laurent for unimaginable prices (how's .99 for a Lanvin tie?).

The designer labels aren't the only thing i like about shopping consignment. Often, i run across unique pieces (like this corded vest i'm wearing above) that are back in trend.

If you are looking to spruce up your wardrobe explore your local vintage or consignment shop and before you know it, you'll start building a collection that sets you apart from the crowd no matter your location.

MELANIE FIONA IS BEAUTIFUL, IT'S TRUE

I totally have a thing for Canadians with a beautiful smile. Singer Melanie Fiona recently sat down for an interview prior to taking the stage for the Steve Madden Concert Series, and she is one celeb who is beautiful both inside and out.

Hiding in plain sight. That's the phrase I've always tagged to Kelly Rowland.

Throughout her solo career, Rowland has struggled to find her position in the industry. Her debut album, Simply Deep, had a pop-alternative leaning, while she took a completely urban turn on her second album Miss Kelly.

Between her Simply Deep & Miss Kelly albums, Rowland's most notable US hits are "Dilemma," and "Here We Go" with Trina. Although Kelly has stalled stateside as a solo act, she has dominated in the overseas market having notched an impressive eight top ten singles in the UK.

Truth is, Kelly Rowland can pull off so many sounds, and she's finally affirming her versatility on Here I Am.

AMY WINEHOUSE FOUND DEAD IN LONDON

One month after her disaster comeback concert in Serbia, singer Amy Winehouse has been found dead at her London home.

Police confirmed that a 27-year-old female was pronounced dead at the home in Camden Square northern London; the cause of death was not immediately known. London Ambulance Services said Winehouse had died before the two ambulance crews it sent arrived at the scene. -ASSOCIATED PRESS

Winehouse has been one of my favorite celebs to report on since i began Quick's Catch Up, and this is how i feared her story would turn out. I was so happy for her when it seemed like she was turning her life around about a year ago.

QCU REMEMBERS: AMY WINEHOUSE

UNIQLO + JIL SANDER = THE BEST SHIRT FOR SUMMER

It is mandatory that i make my way to Uniqlo on Broadway whenever i get to New York. During a visit last month, i was looking for a khaki short-sleeve shirt (random i know), and happened-upon the Jil Sander for Uniqlo +J shirt.  Now that i'm home, i wish i would have bought one in every color!

With simple lines, the cotton + spandex blend provides a modern fit while helping you stay cool. Still, the shirt's secret weapon is the button hidden underneath the collar ends.  I'm not a fan of floppy collars, and the buttons ensure that the collar ends lay down perfectly.  

The good news: the +J shirt retails for approximately $30.  The bad news: Americans can only shop Uniqlo in NYC.  Their US site still doesn't support online shopping.

ENTOURAGE: THE MOVIE COMING TO THEATERS 'ASAP'

Our boys Kevin Connolly, Adrian Grenier, Jeremy Piven, Kevin Dillon, and Jerry Ferrara got their GQ on for the Season 8 premiere of Entourage in NYC. Piven's suits are always tailored to the tee, and Jerry Ferrara has dropped a ton of weight!

The eight-episode final season begins this Sunday (July 24), but this might not be the last we'll hear from Vinny & the boys. E! News was able to catch up with show creator, Marc Wahlberg, on the red carpet and he believes that "there's a real thirst and desire for [Entourage: The Movie]. Ninety minutes of sheer craziness would be something that I think people would thoroughly enjoy."

KIM KARDASHIAN SUES OLD NAVY

Kim Kardashian just filed suit against Old Navy claiming that model Melissa Molinaro's resemblance to her in their commercial connects her brand to the clothing line (which she does not represent).

I remember my mother asking me if i had seen Kim's Old Navy commercial when the ad featuring Melissa first started airing back in February. When i finally saw the ad, i realized right away that it wasn't Kim, but i can easily see a resemblance.

What's more interesting is the fact that this Old Navy commercial has over 2 million views online...way more than any other commercial on the company's YouTube channel.

WHO ROCKED MCQUEEN BEST: KHLOE KARDASHIAN VS. SERENA WILLIAMS

Khloe Kardashian and Serena Williams were both spotted rocking the same Alexander McQueen tribal patterned dress this week. Khole chose the look for a launch party in New York City, while Serena rocked the look to the ESPY kickoff celebration in LA. Personally, i think the dress looks good on both ladies. BEHIND THE BODY: CELEBRITY PERSONAL TRAINERS

Ever wonder who was responsible for getting singer D'Angelo into shape for his "How Does It Feel" video? Well, you can send thank-you tweets to Mark Jenkins. The first time i learned about Mark was back in 2007 when i was looking for a new workout regimen and purchased his book The Jump Off which breaks down how he got clients like D'Angelo, Mary J. Blige, and Eve their "hip-hop hard bodies." Jenkins also prepared Diddy to run the New York City Marathon, which was documented in Diddy Runs the City...Puffy's first reality series for MTV.

Dave "Scooter" Honig has been in the fitness game for over 30 years and trains many of our favorite celebs including Tyler Perry, Chrisette Michele, and Fantasia (although judging from these pics, i don't think she been working out much lately). Still, Scooter's most notable celeb client and body is LL Cool J. Back in 2006, LL and Dave co-authored a fitness book named The Platinum Workout.

Celeb trainer Jeanette Jenkins has been getting a ton of publicity as of late. Some due to her rumored relationship with Queen Latifah, some due to her popular Bikki Boot-camp challenge. Her clients include Robin & Paula Patton-Thicke, Tia Mowry, and Kimora Lee Simmons. Jeanette's a Fitness Magazine Advisory Board Member and will soon release the workout DVD, Sexy Abs, featuring her current celeb trophy-client Kelly Rowland. Loves Janette.

CELEBS REACT TO CASEY ANTHONY VERDICT

WOW. I would have never thought that the Casey Anthony trial would conclude with Anthony being found not guilty of first-degree murder, abuse, and aggravated manslaughter (all three counts) in the 2008 death of her 2-year-old daughter Caylee.  Check out some celeb reactions to the verdict below.

I remember going through photos of HBO's True Blood Season 4 premiere and being immediately drawn to actress Janina Gavankar. On Season 4, Janina portrays a mysterious public school teacher and shapeshifter named Luna and I'm already in love with her character after only two episodes!

CHRIS BOSH & ESTELLE HIT THE HAMPTONS

Miami Heat baller Chris Bosh and his fiance Adrienne Williams were all over the Hamptons during Independence Day weekend.  Above, the couple struck a nice pose during the 2nd annual Polo Classic.  

They also attended the opening of Gallery Valentine in East Hampton. While Chris and Adrienne hit up some high-brow events, singer Estelle was in The Hamptons getting paid.

TREY SONGZ SPOTTED AT ESSENCE MUSIC FEST

Trey Songz was spotted heading into an appearance at the Carol's Daughter pop-up store in New Orleans, Louisiana during the 2011 Essence Music Festival.

...and the fans outside the store were extremely excited to get a glimpse of the singer.

The Carol's Daughter pop-up store is a great place to camp out if you'd like to see some celebs at this year's Essence Fest. Other celebs that have been spotted there include the Braxton sisters, Mary J. Blige, and model Selita Ebanks.
