I stumbled upon filmmaker Darius Clark Monroe recently, and was impressed with his ability to tell a great story in only a matter of minutes. Clark describes himself as "a filmmaker on the verge of a nervous breakdown," but his well-shot, short films show no signs of stress. Another point of interest: Monroe is an ex-con who's made quite the transformation.
