MARION JONES SPRINTS FORWARD IN JOHN SINGLETON DOCUMENTARY & NEW BOOK

Raise your hand if you still thought that Marion Jones was still in prison. Jones was released from a federal detention facility back in 2008 after completing  a six-month sentence she received for lying to federal agents about using performance-enhancing drugs.

Just two years after her release, Jones is sprinting in a new direction with a new John Singleton directed documentary called "Marion Jones: Press Pause."  According to Singleton,

I thought it was very interesting that this black woman – gotta call it what it is – was jailed where few if any other athletes, no matter the sport, have ever served any time for their involvement with steroids.

In addition to the documentary that will air on ESPN, Jones is prepping a book titled, On the Right Track, which touches on the difficulty of prison life.

Check out these dope candids from filming of new episodes of Gossip Girl. Today, the series comes back from hiatus, and will focus on the return of Jenny Humphrey. Humphrey's portray-or, Taylor Momsen, was spotted filming under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass in Brooklyn.

Ed Westwick's character, Chuck, is always extra fly. 

Leighton Meester took off the pumps in between takes and walked around with a body guard.

KANYE DEBUTS 'RUNAWAY' MOVIE, DISCUSSES LYRICS ABOUT SELLING HIS SOUL TO THE DEVIL

West at NYC Premiere of 'Runaway'

First, Kanye West released a moving portrait as the visual representation for his single, "Power," and now the rapper/producer has premiered a short film, titled Runaway, prior to the release of his new album My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.  

Directed by West and co-starring top model, Selita Ebanks, the film is full of vivid images and also serves as a bit of an album sampler (the film is scored by music from West's upcoming release). Check it out below, and after the cut, watch Kanye discuss the purpose of this film and touch on why he included a line that says he sold his soul the devil.

Chelsea Handler often plays the race card to pull in laughs, and during a Twitter exchange with Nick Cannon, she tweeted  a photo of grape soda with a caption saying "@nickcannon pls drink this before you tweet me again."  Normally, i hate when a guy spouts off offensive things about a woman, but Nick's replies to Handler were well provoked:

Choreographer/Singer Teyana Taylor paired some cut off shorts with bold over-the-knee boots at the FENDI Boutique opening in Beverly Hills this past weekend.  

Taylor's debut album is still in the works, and was seemingly halted earlier year when Kelly Rowland's version of her single, "Smooches," hit the web.

Rapper Lupe Fiasco recently spent some time at the Redu Project's RE:FORM SCHOOL event. to show his support for education reform RE:FORM SCHOOL is an art exhibition, event series and public awareness campaign taking place in New York City, that brings together the creative community in a call for the reform of the American Public Education System.

As we all know, our school systems are in need of reform.  Check out John Legend's article he wrote for the Huffington Post titled Education Reform: The Civil Rights Issue of Our Time.

Move over Olivia Palermo, there's a new face at Elle!  To both launch and promote the new Elle iPad app, the fashion mag recruited Jersey Shore's Snooki for a viral video which turns into a hilarious spoof of MTV's The City.

All i have to say is:

• Erin Kaplan is pretty much genius if she came up with this concept. 
• Snooki & The Situation are getting to the money!
• Why did this "spoof" really feel like a lost scene from The City?  SMH

•  The mother/son dynamic between LaBeouf & Susan Sarandon was much more intriguing than the father/daughter relationship between  Michael Douglas & Carey Mulligan.

•  If you're into revenge films...you'll love this one.

• SYLVIA MILES was hilarious as an aging Realtor draped in Chanel. 

• Whether you like movies to end on a good note or a bad one, you can walk away satisfied. 

JANET JACKSON & NEW BOYFRIEND SPOTTED AT PARIS FASHION WEEK

Janet Jackson's moved on to the next, and she and her businessman boyfriend, Wissam Al Mana, have been taking in Paris fashion week...even showing a little PDA.

   

Thus far, they have sat front row at both John Galliano and Lanvin. Janet stars in the upcoming Tyler Perry film, For Colored Girls, which hits theaters November 5th. In other news, is Wissam wearing harem pants?
