FRESH VIDEO: NICKI MINAJ'S "MASSIVE ATTACK"

The long-awaited video for Nicki Minaj's first single "Massive Attack" premiered today on BET's 106th & Park.  I must admit that i'm a bit disappointed with the video treatment; I actually liked the song better before seeing the Hype Williams directed clip.  It looks like a bad mash up of Missy Elliott's "Get Ya Freak On," Beyonce's "Baby Boy," and Lil' Kim's "How Many Licks."  Massive fail?

RAPPER T.I. IS A FREE MAN, BUT HAS TO BE HOME BY CURFEW

T.I. can finally hit the streets as a free man again.  On March 26th, the rapper completed his house arrest sentence and is now on supervised release.  

Tip is required to be home by 11 p.m. or by 1 a.m. if he is performing.  It just doesn't feel like he's been away for a year, and i'm sure he will get back on the social scene sooner than later.  I'm sure all of this will be documented on season two of Tiny & Toya. 

How dreadful.

ANGELA SIMMONS, ROB KARDASHIAN LEAVE THE CLUB TOGETHER

After they were spotted at a nail salon together, Angela Simmons and the youngest Kardashian sibling, Rob, have been a hot topic amongst the blogs with speculation that the two are coupled up.  All parties dispelled relationship rumors via their Twitter pages, and have not let the gossip get in the way of their friendship*. [*insert side eye] 

Over the weekend, Robs and Ang partied at  Wonderland nightclub in LA, and failed at avoiding the paps when they got into the car to leave.  In my mind, I'd like to see them date.  It could be a cross-over of their respective reality shows, or maybe a new spin-off show all together. Hell, Lance & Eva are over, i think they'd be a suitable replacement.

KARINA PASIAN SPOTTED AT STEVE MADDEN EVENT + NEW TRACK "TRUE TO MYSELF"

Up-in-coming recording artist and pianist Karina Pasian was spotted at a Steven by Steve Madden event in New York City.  If you missed it, i posted her awesome PERFORMANCE COVER of Maxwell's "Pretty Wings" last week. 

Pasian is currently hard at work on a sophomore album to follow her Grammy nominated debut First Love. A new Pasian track entitled "True to Myself" recently hit the net.  No word on whether or not this is the first single or merely a buzz track, but it sounds like a winner to me.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: ROBIN THICKE'S "ROLLACOASTA" VIDEO FT. ESTELLE

Robin Thicke just dropped a video for the Estelle assisted track "Rollacoasta" of his latest album Sex Therapy.  I'm surprised the label didn't push his Nicki Minaj assisted single, "Shakin' It 4 Daddy," more instead of moving on to another track.  This song is one of my favorites from the album, but i don't foresee it making a big impact on the charts.

Tennis champ Venus Williams and UK artist Jay Sean were spotted chatting during the Sony Ericsson Open kick-off party at LIV nightclub at Fontainebleau Miami. Very cute look for Venus. 

Of course little sis, Serena, was at the event as well.  Not a big fan of the blond look she's rocking these days. Mel B was also in attendance, but clearly not in the mood to pose for photos.

[LUDA] "Every since he said something about me on television, I’ve been hoping to run into him in person to confront him on everything he said. I finally got that opportunity last year at the White House Correspondence dinner. When I saw his name on the list of people present, I immediately went up and confronted him. He had this look on his face, like I was the last person that he expected to see.

The first thing I said to him was, ‘I wanted to meet the person who had so much to say about me but knows absolutely nothing about me.’ From there we had a conversation, which is confidential at this point. I can’t talk about it. But I can let you know that out of our fifteen-minute conversation, some good came out of it because we did something good for the community, we did something for charity. It’s confidential so I can’t really go into detail about it."

"I need your...smooches baby"...Kelly Rowland demands in the hook on her leaked single, "Smooches," recorded during sessions for her upcoming album.  The track was produced by Bangladesh and is a bold, sassy sound for Kelly. 

After hearing this buzz track i am even more excited about her new album, because this track is pretty solid. That being said, Kelly revealed on TWITTER that "Smooches" was not leaked by her team, and the  sound of the album has evolved more.  She recently talked to AP about the recording process and about finding her sound:

CATCHING UP W/→ LUPE FIASCO AT 'SUMMIT ON THE SUMMIT' PREMIERE

Rapper Lupe Fiasco attended the premiere of the MTV documentary Summit on the Summit: Kilimanjaro at the Tribeca Grand Hotel  in New York City. 

In February, Fiasco, along with fellow musicians Kenna and Santigold, actors Jessica Biel, Emile Hirsch, Isabel Lucas, and a team of scientists and experienced mountain guides, climbed to the peak of Kilimanjaro with the goal of raising awareness about the global clean-water crisis.

JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE GET HIS 'TIGER WOODS' ON IN VEGAS

Justin Timberlake was spotted chatting up a go-go dancer in the VIP balcony of Tao Vegas, BUT he did kept his hands in his pocket.

An eyewitness [insert display of disbelief] claims that Timberlake and his crew took the party back to his hotel suite, and that the curly haired brunette and a fellow dancer were invited.  Looks to me like she was checking to see if he wanted anything to drink, but i digress. Karina Pasian never ceases to amaze me.  I truly love the tone of her voice, and she does Maxwell justice on this cover performance of "Pretty Wings."  Stay tuned for more info on her upcoming album, and the first single "True To Myself." 

LIL' WAYNE BANNED FROM SIGNING AUTOGRAPHS IN PRISON

Lil' Wayne finally began serving his time at New York's Rikers Island Prison on Monday, March 8th, and officials at the institution have banned Wayne from signing autographs for other inmates.

According to TMZ, a representative for the Correction Officer's Benevolent Association revealed that the no autograph decision was made because "Lil Wayne is not a celebrity in here."

Also, Wayne will not receive protective custody, per his choice to not make a request.  We'll see how Wayne's year-long prison sentence plays out; something is telling me that it won't pass by as quietly as T.I.'s did.

TIA MOWRY GRABS COFFEE IN BEVERLY HILLS + PREPARES FOR NEW TV PROJECT

Actress Tia Mowry was recently spotted on a coffee run in Beverly Hills. According to Cynopsis Media, Tia and twin sis, Tamera, have a new reality show in production and development on the Style Network.

The show will focus on how the Mowry sisters have transitioned their careers from child stars to adult actresses. (Sings: Sister, Sister!)

STACEY DASH DESCRIBES OSCAR DATE W/ JAMIE FOXX, SAYS SHE'D LIKE ANOTHER

Actress Stacey Dash recently made an appearance on the Wendy Williams Show and was very candid about her Oscar night date (and desire for a 2nd) with Jamie Foxx.

Prior to their date last Sunday, Dash appeared on Jamie's Sirius show, The Foxxhole.  She was very revealing on The Foxxhole as well, and admitted to sleeping with all three of her ex-husbands on the first night. In my mind, it was no surprise that Jamie would ask Stacey to be his Oscar date after learning that tid-bit.  So did they, or didn't they? Watch the clip below to find out:

The show airs Wednesday, March 10th.  Meanwhile Destiny's Child alum, Michelle Williams, was spotted at MSR studios during  the recording of "Prayer Song" for Hope for Haiti.  "Prayer Song" features mostly gospel artists.

This song features Plies and is the perfect lead-in to his first single which is said to feature Beyonce.  It's that riding music that will definitely be playing in my car this spring & summer.

Nelson Nieves, from Model City, hit the catwalk for Michael Bastian's  Fall/Winter 2010 show during New York fashion week.  

Sessilee Lopez walked the runway during the Emporio Armani Autumn/Winter 2010 show.  She too appears in the Centric reality show, Model City.

TRINA TALKS STOLEN PHONE & BODY RASHES WITH MTV NEWS

In a brief interview with MTV News, Trina confirms that her phone was indeed stolen, and expresses her plans to take action regarding the recent leak of HER PERSONAL PHOTOS.

LADY GAGA BARES ALL IN LONDON TOWN

The European paps caught up with Lady Gaga wearing a see-through black lace ensemble with a matching mask as she left her London hotel en route to a MAC Viva Glam event. Proceeds from the sale of MAC's limited edition products are donated to HIV/AIDs charities via the MAC AIDS Fund.

 

...only Gaga.  If she ever catches a case and has to do a court appearance, i'd like to think that this is something that she'd show up to court wearing.

QUICK VIDEO: TREY SONGZ "NEIGHBORS KNOW MY NAME"

UNTIL THE ALIMONY & CHILD SUPPORT PAYMENTS START COMING IN...

...Kelis will continue to make milkshakes for a living.  Over the weekend, the singer performed at Eva Longoria-Parker's Vegas nightclub Eve. 

 

Kelis is still going through legal struggles to get her ex husband, Nas, to cough up child support and alimony cash.  Kelis' attorney claims that Nas is $200,000 behind on child and spousal support (source), and a March court date is set where Nas faces a criminal contempt charge for the unpaid support.

I remember when Nas & Kelis were the Beyonce & Jay-Z of the Hip-Hop world. I hate to see them end up like this-
