Trina recently posted some pics on her Myspace labeled "Louis Vuitton photoshoot." I have not been able to confirm if these photos were taken because Trina is a new spokesmodel or if they are just new promo pics. What's your guess?

Eve attended the One Splendid Evening with John Mayer & Friends concert to benefit the Save the Music Foundation at the Port of Los Angeles over the weekend:

Her fourth studio album, Flirt, is still scheduled for release sometime this year. The album has been shelved since 2007 due to label politics.

Last week Mary J. Blige and Lisa Price (Carol's Daughter) stopped by the Today show to promote their beauty products company.

Mary also confirmed that she will be starring in the new Tyler Perry film "I Can Do Bad All By Myself." The film is scheduled for release on September 11, 2009 and also stars Academy Award nominee Taraji P. Henson. Blige portrays Tanya, a nightclub manager, and Taraji plays her good friend April. PICTURES + "DIVA" PERFORMANCE FROM BEYONCE'S "I AM..." WORLD TOUR OPENING NIGHT

Last night, Beyonce kicked off her "I Am..." world tour at Rexall Place in Edmonton, Canada. Despite the "no media" rule, B drew out an intimate crowd (for her) of 8,000 and the show lasted for over two hours. According to the Edmonton Journal,

"If Beyonce’s first outing on her I Am ... tour was no major disappointment, it was still a somewhat muddled affair, one that didn’t really clear up where the line between Beyonce and her supposed 'alter ego' Sasha Fierce is drawn.If Beyonce is the soft-spoken side and Sasha is the brazenly hyper-confident persona, the whole concept never really spread its wings properly Thursday night..." We all remember the church version of "Single Ladies," right? Well, Mother Wisdom was fictional, but yesterday i received a video link (THANKS REGINA!) of an actual church anniversary service in which 4 generations take time out to "represent their generation" by dancing to a secular song that was big during their respective times.
