HIP HOP TRENDS FOR THE INNER REBEL

Diamonds are a favorite with celebrities. In the past celebrities have had fun with diamonds in grills, worn by Flavor Flav, and shoe bars, but now some are sporting diamond dress pins and buttons. Jay-Z, was spotted wearing these newest of accessories at the 50th annual Grammy awards. The women also got in on the act with the likes of Beyonce and Rihanna both wearing bold, diamond jewelry, cuffs. Rough loose diamonds are also being made into jewelry items, which add a bit of primal delight to some very classic occasions. Alicia Keys wore a 36.33 set of rough diamond earrings to the Grammys. At the Oscars, Nicole Kidman made a big splash with her nearly 1400-carat rough and polished diamond necklace.

Celebrity trends are coming down to the average person who wishes to emulate successful people. Hip hop jewelry is one market that continues to attract attention, even if the buyer has a small budget. There are multiple items in hip hop that are fun to wear. Things like lighted LED buckles and chains can add a little gangster drama to the wardrobe. This isn’t too different than in the 1920’s when women used to wear large cocktail rings to show their stance against the establishment and Prohibition, by literally thumbing their rings as they took a sip. The message is, “If you’ve got it, flaunt it.”

If you have a bit of the rebel in you, it can be fun and daring to find the newest trends and copy them. The newest trend of pins and buttons can be used anywhere on your wardrobe. The style is bold, brassy, and outrageous and can appeal to anyone.
